Nine new videos have been released alongside the 3rd U.S. National Climate Assessment (NCA). These videos were produced by The Story Group, in cooperation with Climate Communication. They reveal some of the many ways that climate change is affecting the lives of Americans now.
Three of these videos, “Americans on the Front Lines of Climate Change,” deal with impacts being felt by people around the country: A fire chief in Colorado talking about wildfires; a father-son rancher family in West Texas talking about extreme heat and agriculture; and two first cousins and fifth-generation oyster farmers in Washington state speaking about ocean acidification.
Six of the videos, “Scientists on the Front Lines of Climate Change,” feature NCA chapter authors talking about key messages from their chapters. These include the following authors and their regions or sectors:
- Kim Knowlton, Human Health
- Paul Fleming, Water Resources
- Gregg Garfin and Guido Franco, The Southwest
- Gene Takle, Agriculture
- Susanne Moser, Coasts
- Andrew Rosenberg, Oceans
